Borne
From June 27 to July 19, 2014 SCI Ontario with presenting partner, Soulpepper Theatre and creative genius RARE Theatre Company brought Borne to the stage. A play about the stories of people with spinal cord injuries told with raw truth, gave 22 audiences a different lens to view disability. Below are clips from the play that will be used to start a conversation.

What would you do if you sustained a spinal cord injury? Do you use the accessible stall in a washroom? Would you date someone with a disability?

The hope is that by starting a conversation, people can think about their own perceptions of disability and perhaps challenge their own beliefs. In conversations, creativity, solutions and change are borne.
